Bringing planes and artifacts back to life

About Wings Restorations

We love working on all sorts of projects and have lots of jobs, big and small for volunteers to work on. Consider joining our little band of merry folks and have a hand in history.

 Facility History

In December 2012, WOTN purchased Hangar 72D. This hangar serves as the restoration and maintenance shop for WOTN. Totaling 4,800 square feet with a 52′ door allows for larger wingspan planes like the BT-15 (MORE INFO) and the AT-11 (MORE INFO).

Directions to Wings Restoration Hangar:

Take the exit off of Pioneer Trail (NW corner of Flying Cloud Airport ) into the sports field just west of the airport. The gate H is a couple of hundred feet down on the left.   Push the “Visitor” button at the gate, and then the “WOTN Restore” button.  Wait for an answer and tell them you are there to visit the restoration hangar and we will buzz you in.  The hangar is the first one when you drive in, 72D at the end of Sierra Lane.   Park on the north end of the hangar.
