Other Museum Artifacts

In addition to the historic aircraft, Wings of the North has a wide variety of artifacts and exhibits to enjoy.  They include:

  • An aviation art gallery with dozens of paintings and prints depicting historic aviation events.  Many are signed by the artist or the people involved with the events they depict.  There are also a large number of signed prints for sale in the gift shop.
  • An incredible collection of aviation models donated by various individuals.
  • A complete Link Trainer – one of the first practical flight simulators.
  • A 1942 Ford Jeep.
  • Mk 82 bombs.
  • The complete top turret for use in an AT-11 Kansan Trainer.
  • Roger Christgau’s Corvette (Roger was the previous and long time owner of P-51D Mustang “Sierra Sue II”).

  • A set of 75 gallon metal drop tanks for the P-51D Mustang.
