BT-15 Project

In February 2004, Wings Restorations, Inc. was formed as a wholly owned subsidiary of Wings of the North.  Wings Restorations acquired one half interest of a BT-15 restoration project from Mike Rawson.  The following photos will show the restoration process.  BT-15 History click here

Oil Tank and Air Filter Cleanup

The oil tank and air filter are removed, cleaned and polished for reassembly to the motor mount

Engine Picked Up

The engine, cowling and heat diffusers are picked up at Mike Rawson's hangar and brought to Area 51 for cleaning

Horizontal Work

Fuselage Frame Work

The Monocogue is nearly complete except for a few rivets, assemblies are added on the fuselage continues.  Wiring is added
